We are an Owner-Operated Company that specializes in 2-6 passenger-VIP Flights. We have been Hot Air Ballooning since 2000.   Jeff Powell began his passion for the skies in the spring of 1993 when he purchased a hang glider and began flying. In May 2000 he began working as a crew-person for a busy Hot Air Balloon Company in the Rocky Mountains. The next year he became the crew chief and would continue that position full-time for nine more years, literally learning Ballooning from the ground up.  In 2009, Jeff headed to the prestigious 141 Pilot School(Airborne Heat) in Albuquerque N.M. He earned his FAA Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Certified Flight Instructor certificates and ratings for Hot Air Balloon there. He began flying passengers in the fall of 2009 and has continued to do so with a “Perfect Safety Record” ever since.

Today, with more than 1800 total days of Hot Air Ballooning Experience in the Rocky Mountains, and flight experience in 6 states, we are confident to gather “all available information” that relates to the safety of your flight, from start to finish.  It starts with a “Two Passenger VIP Flight.”  You and your special person have our undivided attention and we customize every flight for just the two of you.  This is a very “Safe” and “Special” way to create that lifelong memory.
We are centrally located between Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park, in north Boulder County. Many of our guests plan a day-trip to Rocky Mountain National Park after their flight because of our close proximity to the Park.

We fly close to mountains, lakes, rivers, and wildlife. The 14,259 ft. Long’s Peak of Rocky Mountain National Park is just to the west. We typically launch next to the St. Vrain River and when we soar into the sky you will see that there are actually well over a hundred bodies of water nearby. Farming and agriculture in this area have long been supported by the abundant water flowing out of the mountains. We like flying here because we are both close to the mountains and where there is water, there is wildlife. The birds of prey are often perched on branches in big old trees that are near the water. As we gently float down and glide above the water and treetops, you can hear the wildlife getting louder as you breathe in the crisp morning air on your majestic flight.

    Jeff was timely and punctual in all our communications leading up to the flight. My wife and i had several questions for Jeff and he talked us through everything he was thinking, everything he was doing and seeing, from the instruments in the balloon, to the natural signals he was watching on the ground. The way he landed the balloon led me to believe he is supremely skilled at his craft. We landed on a dirt road (between the tire treads - are you kidding??!!!) as requested.     Jeff and crew offered a fantastic experience for such a special occasion. My father was celebration his 95th birthday with a balloon ride.
